The Algiers Sofitel is pretty much good quality international standard : our room 241 was generous size, clean and had all mod cons that one should expect. Two king single beds, desk with light and charging points, small table & lounge chair. High quality bathroom with bath, but no separate shower ; pump bottles with really nice products. Breakfast is a real treat, especially when you choose the outdoor setting. I only found the check-in and especially the check-out formalities cumbersome : they seemed to take forever and the machines were unable to process my Amex Card, so they had to resort to a paper imprint . . .

Comfortable stay but disappointed in the level of service in the executive lounge

Fast checked in at the reception, however got minor issue during check-out due to billing not synchronized, so I did 2 payments (1 during checked in and 1 is the difference between final bill and during check in amount). I rather have 1 billing invoice for company expense audit. They should have blocked the amount and cancel it then pay the final bill amount instead of 2 payment.

Disappointed, asked for a room view on Hamma garden, was told that yes I would have ands actually I have a wall in front of and just see top of trees. Room 553. Very sorry about that
