Really lovely hotel. Room was lovely. Check in great. Security - Gideon - was amazing. It’s the restaurant that lets this hotel down.. they were ages taking our orders/drinks… it was an hour before we got food… breakfast was cold. Not sure if the hot plates weee on! Room - lovely but aircon Didn’t work… had to ask for a fan.

Ferough checked us in at Reception and was extremely friendly, happy and welcoming not to mention so helpful and informative. She is an asset to Sofitel and deserves recognition for such wonderful customer service. She saw us waiting and immediately attended to us. She gave us a great overview of the restaurants in the hotel, allocated a super room with runway view and because of our early start the following day, she gave us some check in tips. Thank you, Ferough.

We eat in the Vivre restaurant and had the best service. Samim was extremely helpful and professional. He will make a great manager one day very soon, we hope. Nothing was a problem. Food was delicious and the freshest pizza we have had in a while.

We were looked after by a most delightful man Peter who was so friendly and charming. He also was highly professional so much so that I thought he was The Manager. Promote that man immediately. The other lovely lady was called Deniz. Well done to both. Thank you for a lovely meal. It all made a really lovely evening for us. Peter The Great was a Russian Tsar for those who don’t know Russian history. Jean George.

Well situated Hotel for Gatwick airport. Staff were Very welcoming from the Start. Hannah and Krzysztof in particular are excellent on front desk. They are Very knowledgeable members of staff and very attentive. We had lots of questions and they were both happy to help to make us feel very welcome. I would totally recommend The Sofitel. If you venture into the Bar , look out for Velu , another pleasant member of staff.
