Except for the "very long wait for the elevator experience," our stay was very good overall. Great promo on the family room (discounted 2nd room) with free excellent breakfast for 4 at the Spiral. The rooms are a bit worn-out but the 5-star service of staff made up for it.

One of the most beautiful and iconic 5 star hotels in Manila is one of the only business and resort destination hotels in Manila. Boasting a large resort style pool and large event function space and possibly the largest 5 star bufffet in the city. Sadly the hotel will close on 30 June 2024.

Horrible Lift system

2/6 guest lift are working with no security to manage the movement hence the lift will stop on each floor even though it’s already full it’s such a waste of time even more when it could have been bypass by Security team so When the lift is already full at certain floor it can be directed immediately to Lobby level or P level. Whilst I understand that the management is doing their level best to address and fix the lift issue. I’d say that managing this situation could be better. It rather a very distressing experience during the stay.

In my 2 night stay elevators are always out of service. There was also a power out during my stay. Escalators are also always out of service. Please don't close Sofitel for good. It's a legendary hotel and our family is one of the regulars who frequently go there. Thank you.
