Dear Management Team, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to offer some feedback regarding my recent stay at the Sofitel Montevideo. While I typically refrain from writing reviews, I felt compelled to share my experience in the hopes of contributing to the improvement of your esteemed establishment. During my stay, I encountered several issues that unfortunately detracted from my overall enjoyment. Firstly, upon my arrival, I noticed an unpleasant odor emanating from the bathroom, which persisted throughout my stay. Although I brought this to the attention of the reception on the first day of my stay, it wasn't until my final night that an alternative room was offered to me. Furthermore, I found the size of the room and the limited space in the bathroom to be less than ideal. While I understand that certain aspects of room size may be beyond your control, I was disappointed by the lack of amenities provided, such as q-tips and cotton pads. Additionally, the absence of replenished water bottles after the first day was unexpected, and the inability to request water after hours left me feeling somewhat inconvenienced. Moreover, I was surprised by the limited availability of in-room services, such as the inability to order coffee or tea in the early hours of the morning. This experience was not in line with my expectations of a five-star establishment. While I understand that challenges may arise in the hospitality industry, I must express my disappointment with the level of service provided during my stay. The demeanor of the staff members did not reflect the warmth and professionalism one would expect from a hotel of this caliber. Regrettably, based on my experience, I cannot envision myself returning to or recommending the Sofitel Montevideo to others. However, I sincerely hope that my feedback proves helpful in addressing areas for improvement and enhancing the guest experience in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Nice staff but not up to the standards of a typical Aofitel. Poor lighting system and very dirty carpets in the room. Shower is sealed properly.

Nothing to improve here. Beautiful, historic property. Our room was lovely, the beds super comfortable. Very quiet. Terrific neighborhood behind the hotel with lots of restaurants and boutiques. Breakfast (not included) was very good and the best poached eggs I’ve ever had. Loved it. 😊
