The hotel was fantastic with good location and great rooms! We had booked opera suite which was fantastic. The staff completely ruins the experience! It’s like they are unhappy with their job and they want to show it on the guests! We wanted to redeem our Accor points and settle the bill on the night earlier to our departure as our flight was quite early the next day. They dint let us redeem our points for the full stay though I had enough points to cover for the entire stay saying they have a limit of 10k rupees(converted) that can be redeemed with points. This was the first time I heard of such a thing afte staying st many Accor properties over the years. I dint want to argue about it so agreed to whatever the limit they suggested . The person present on the front desk kept sulking so much about it that we suddenly felt we were in a 2 star hotel. People don’t come to 5 star hotels for just the good rooms and glittery stuff! Service and hospitality is the most important thing one would expect from a 5 star and this property lacks beyond measure in that regard! Not one staff member was greeting with a smile or looked welcoming! Such a good hotel let down by such pathetic staff! Unfortunate!

Hi Vincent, I have been staying at the property for 1 year , must have made more than 14 trips. However during my last stay (8th - 9th May) i encountered a very unusual problem which i would have never imagined at a prestigious Hotel like Sofitel. In the morning on 9th , i had to take my medicine and was trying to order room service , from 9 am - 11 am , no one picked up . I kept getting transferred to the reception and they kept putting me on hold , this happened 4 times , and after holding for few minutes (6 minutes once) i finally lost hope and went to the mall across. I am sorry i have to inform you this , but it was my first bad experience at your property and considering i come back every 2 weeks i sincerely hope you can check on this. Room 0413 Name Karan T. The check-in was very smooth and all staff were very friendly and helpful.The room was lovely ,spacious and clean. I enjoyed the extra efforts by the management to make my stay comfortable with their little touches, like the welcome drink and complimentary chocolates . My spa experience was very delightful as well,with well trained staff. Food standard at the restaurant was good. I am particular with my coffee, and I was not disappointed that I was served a delightful cuppa. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would certainly stay here again!

service is unsatisfactory, i requested for a coffee mug - because there is none in the room - maybe after cleaning they took them and did not return - after repeating my request for at least 4 times - a mug was finally delivered - the following day. If ill request for replenishment of coffee or tea , and sugar and creamer - they will bring just sugar , i'll repeat , they will bring coffee and so on and so forth. the water from the bath tub got the whole bathroom wet because there is no drainage except in the shower area, so even the comfort room is wet cable connections even internet - seems to be weak as even the television viewing gets affected
